David Wilkerson is one of America's most iconic preachers of all time. He went to New York the year I was born leaving a small town in the same state I was born in, Pennsylvania, for the gang-ridden streets.  Though he is but a fading memory all these years later, the Word of God he preached is timeless.  He stresses the importance of being a real follower of Christ versus the luke-warm variety.  His messages make us examine the state of our soul and encourage a closer walk with God. He was a humble man not wanting himself exalted but Christ only.
